Homeowners wishing to participate have until Aug. 31 to be added to the list; plus, post your sale address on Patch!
The 3rd annual Saukville Village Wide Rummage Sale is coming up on Sept. 8, and people wishing to participate have until the end of the month to submit information. The event is sponsored and coordinated by the Saukville Area Historical Society, according to the Saukville Village newsletter. Those who would like their address listed as a sale location can complete the registration form and mail it into the SAHS, with the $5 fee, by Aug. 31. This fee gets your address included in a brochure and map of the day-long rummage sale that will be available at local businesses. With kids, it seems like there is always something to buy. Diapers, new clothes, toys. It can really add up, both for your pocketbook and the environment. As a self proclaimed "crunchy mom," I am always trying to find ways to not only save a little money but to make a little less of a dent on good ol' mother earth. One of the biggest decisions we made was that we were going to cloth diaper our son. So, after a little research because there are so many different styles, we decided to go with the bumGenius Organic All-in-One Size diaper. There's still time for Saukville residents to add their house to the list for the 2nd annual Village Wide Rummage Sale hosted by Saukville Area Historical Society.
The philosophy of "one man's trash is another man's treasure" is what organizers hope inspires shoppers to attend the 2nd annual Village Wide Rummage Sale in Saukville. The Saukville Area Historical Society is hosting the event on Sept. 10. "We have a good time," said Anne Kertschner, president of the Saukville Area Historical Society. Village residents are encouraged to register their address for the rummage sale through the Historical Society for $5, which will include their location on a map being distributed to shoppers. The registration fee covers advertising and printing costs for the maps. The deadline to register your home is Sept. 6.
