Honor Flight DVD Now Available Locally

Copies of the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight documentary are now available at Port Washington City Hall.

The Honor Flight documentary that made a Guinness Book of World Records and has been shown at many film festivals is now available for purchase on DVD at Port Washington City Hall. A number of copies are available for a suggested donation of $20, Honor Flight founder Joe Dean said. City Hall is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Honor Flight Movie Comes to Town

The documentary film that follows the story of the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight will be shown at Marcus Theatres in Saukville and other select Marcus theaters throughout the state Dec. 5 through 7. The film will have a limited release nationwide starting Dec. 7. Click here for locations. Starring two Ozaukee County WWII veterans, Honor Flight follows a team of local volunteers as they race against the clock to send every WWII veteran on a completely free trip — an Honor Flight — to Washington, DC to visit the war memorials built to commemorate their service. I would think it would be a field trip to Marcus. They did promise a DVD release for the movie, but I'd guess that won't happen until it is out of theaters 12/15. You may want to contact http://www.honorflightthemovie.com/contact/ and see if they have any provisions in mind for getting the movie into schools.
