Does Lance Armstrong’s Doping Confession Change Your Opinion of Him?

The seven-time Tour de France winner admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs during an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Lance Armstrong has admitted to doping during an interview with Oprah Winfrey taped Monday, hours after apologizing to staff at the Livestrong Foundation, which he started but has since been forced to resign from, CBSNews.com reported.   After nearly 15 years of denials, threats and actions against anyone who told the truth about doping on the U.S. Postal cycling team, Armstrong confessed to using performance-enhancing drugs during a career that included winning seven Tour de France titles, which he has since been stripped of, the Wall Street Journal reported.   Patch wants to know: Does Lance Armstrong's doping confession change your opinion of him or his charity?  Livestrong Foundation issued a statement Wednesday morning in response to …

Iowa Man Marathoning Through Patch Towns Around Lake Michigan

Steve Cannon is running 40 marathons in 40 days in hopes of raising money for cancer research. Stay tuned to Patch for details as he makes his way through our Patch towns!

An Iowa man is making his way along the North Shore during his 40 marathons in 40 days to help find a cure for cancer — and he’s looking for runners to join him.  Steve Cannon began his Run to Cure Cancer on Sunday at Navy Pier in Chicago, IL. He plans to run the 1,037 miles along the entire Lake Michigan coastline, the sixth-largest lake in the world. His trip will take him through many different towns, including some surrounding Milwaukee. Cannon has completed more than 30 marathons already according to a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article, many of which have been 24-hour races, but his goal with this race is not the length of the journey, but to raise awareness and hope for the Lance Armstrong Foundation.  Brian D.
