Child Porn Found in Apartment of Port Man, Registered Sex Offender

A 40-year-old Port Washington resident who was previously charged with several counts of sexual assault of a child is now facing charges for possession of child pornography.

Paul Ammerman appeared in court Tuesday in connection with five felony charges of possession of child pornography and was released on a $50,000 cash bond, with the condition that he have no contact with anyone younger than 18. He is set to appear in court at 10 a.m. Thursday for a status hearing. On Feb. 1, Ozaukee Sheriff's detectives assisted Probation and Parole Agents while they search the apartment of Ammerman, a registered sex offender, according to a press release from the sheriff's department. A Saukville woman faces forgery charges after attempting to use her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend's check at Walmart.

A Saukville woman already facing felony charges after stealing rings from a Cedarburg jewelry store now also faces forgery charges after attempting to use her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend's check at Walmart. Onyetta Kretlow, 32, was charged Tuesday in Ozaukee County Court with a felony of forgering-uttering, and faces 6 years in prison as well as $10,000 in fines for those charges. Kretlow had been at Walmart at about 10 a.m. Jan. 14 attempting to purchase items in the electronics department, according to the criminal complaint. The Walmart employee told police she recognized Kretlow, but that the defendant attempted to pay for her items with a check in Sarah Bol's name. PD: Undercover Sting Snags Saukville Marijuana Dealer

The 39-year-old Saukville man sold marijuana to the undercover officer several times in late 2012.

A Saukville man who sold marijuana to an undercover officer on multiple occasions was charged in Ozaukee County Court this week. John Slaton, 39, faces two felony counts of manufacturing and delivering THC near a school, and two additional counts of manufacturing and delivering THC; he also faces eight counts of felony bail jumping. In total, he's facing 72 years in prison, $120,000 in fines and could lose his driving privileges for a total of 20 years. The first drug exchange took place on Oct. 29, when an undercover officer made arrangements to purchase marijuana from Slaton outside Sundance Tavern, according to the criminal complaint. Ozaukee County Man Sexually Assaults Intoxicated Woman, Police Say

The 19-year-old man faces one count of sexual assault for the incident that occurred in his apartment.

A 19-year-old Ozaukee County man is facing a felony charge for sexually assaulting a woman he described as "out of it." Ethan Fagen, of Grafton, was charged with one count of second-degree sexual assault on Monday. If convicted, he faces not more than 40 years prison and $100,000 in fines. Fagen hosted a group of friends at his apartment on Saturday, according to the criminal complaint, during which people admitted to smoking marijuana and drinking. The victim, a 20-year-old woman, told police she started to feel sick during the party and was afraid she was given a date rape drug; she also admitted to both smoking marijuana as well as drinking. A 32-year-old Port Washington man failed field sobriety tests after driving up a curb and hitting a sign.

A Port Washington man is facing his fifth OWI charge after failing field sobriety tests and being found with a bag of what officers believed to be synthetic marijuana. Kevin Kroboth, 32, faces one felony charge of operating while intoxicated, fifth or sixth offense, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He faces 6 years, 30 days in prison, $10,500 in fines and revocation of his driving privileges for up to eight years. Judge: Hit-and-Run Suspect 'Failed Miserably' to 'Show Compassion'

A 21-year-old Saukville man found guilty of a hit-and-run crash over the 2012 Fish Day weekend was sentenced on Wednesday, while his parents and the judge expressed confidence in his ability to rebound.

A Saukville man found guilty of a hit-and-run crash over the 2012 Fish Day weekend will spend 3 months in jail and be responsible for the nearly $30,000 in medical bills accumulated by the victim in the incident. Michael Frey, 21, recieved 3 months in jail and 3 years probation, during which time he is to stay sober, stay out of bars or liquor stores, be available for random drug testing, seek counseling for addiction and have no contact with the victim, Chris Morano. Evidence of Child Porn Leads to Arrest of Ozaukee County Man

The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office is investigating the case involving a 49-year-old man.

Editor's note: The following information is taken from a press release from the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office. Ozaukee Sheriff’s Detectives arrested David Weaver, 49, from the town of Cedarburg on Monday for Possession of Child Pornography. Investigators were acting on information provided from United States Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) which lead to the residence of David Weaver. During the course of the investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant and seized evidence which will be analyzed by Wisconsin Department of Justice Analyst. The investigation of this matter is continuing. Weaver appeared in Ozaukee County Circuit Court yesterday and was released on $5000.00 bail.

Police Protestor Appears in Court for Disorderly Conduct Charges

Bill Wisth, a Mequon man who also protested at a Thiensville restaurant in May over an all-you-can-eat buffet, claims his arrest by Port police in September was unwarranted, and that police beat him up. Law officials say he was uncooperative.

A Mequon man who accused Port Washington police of beating him up during an arrest in September following an attempted confrontation with his son will appear in court on Wednesday for two separate charges in connection with the incident. Bill Wisth, 54, faces charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer. He will appear in court at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday for a motion hearing; Wisth entered a not guilty plea in court on Jan. 22 and a trial date has been set for 8:45 a.m. April 2. "All three of them grabbed me and threw me down on the hood of the car," Wisth had told Patch in September referring to Port police officers in his claim of brutality. Mom Enters Not Guilty Plea in Child Abuse Case

The 38-year-old Port Washington woman allegedly hit her 12-year-old son and then 13-year-old daughter on the wrists with a belt.

A Port Washington mom facing 30 years in prison and $100,000 in fines after being charged with hitting her two children with a belt entered a not guilty plea in court on Tuesday. The 38-year-old woman is charged with two counts of physical abuse of a child recklessly causing great bodily harm. The not guilty plea means the case is currently slated for trial, though no date has been set; the defendant will appear in court again at 10 a.m. Thursday for further proceedings. The woman is not being named to protect the children's identities.
