Editor Says Yes to Locally Supported Engagement

My boyfriend — fiance, rather — proposed on Wednesday, and I'm happy to say: He went to Sharbuno.

We've dedicated a little extra in our budget toward the consistent purchase of cage free eggs and chicken. Beef is next, though it is a bigger expenditure and harder to find. The message between the lines on this one is: I got engaged!! Nick tricked me through two dates: a Valentine's Day come and gone with no sparkly thing on my finger, and an 11-year dating anniversary date on …

Man Takes Fiery Approach to Popping the Question

A recap of the top 10 stories of 2012 remembers a romantic gesture last New Year's Eve.

Editor's note: Looking back on 2012, there were a lot of ups and downs experienced by the Port Washington and Saukville community. This series of Top 10 stores in Port Washington and Saukville takes a look at some of the most memorable moments here this year. The top 10 stories were chosen based on qualifications such as the number of readers on an article and the amount of Facebook "likes" or "recommendations" it had, as well as community impact — among other considerations. | Follow us on Twitter | …

A roundup of recent activity from the police blotter also includes a suspicious man looking to rent a room, and some misdials and misuses of 911.

Oh, to be a witness to this little incident. Police received a call at 11:54 a.m. Thursday from a resident who witnessed a car versus deer accident the day before. The caller said the deer ran out onto the road from the west on Franklin Street, hitting the car, according to the police reports.  The caller said as the deer ran across the road, he noticed it was also being chased by a black dog with white spots. There were no reports of loose dogs or car versus deer accidents in the police reports. Teen Attacks Cop After Taser Fails, Police Say

Suspect is facing felony charges after police say he attacked both his mom and a Port Washington police officer trying to arrest him inside his home.

Editor's note: This story has been updated to reflect a correction. The suspect's last name is Large, not Lange. A 19-year-old Port Washington man is facing charges after police say he attacked his mom and a cop after coming home drunk from a wedding. Mitchel D. Large was charged in Ozaukee County Circuit Court on Sept. 24 with one count of battery of a peace officer, one count of resisting an officer, one count of battery domestic abuse, one count of disorderly conduct and one count of criminal damage to property. If convicted, he faces up to 8-½ years in prison and $41,000 in fines. At 11:30 p.m. Sept. 22, Large came home to his mother’s house in the 400 block of North Milwaukee Street after attending a wedding and began to break things …

Summer wedding, fish catches and live bands all are featured on the popular video uploading website.
