Easter Bunny to Make Appearance at Humane Society

Kids and animals are welcome to get their photos taken with the Easter Bunny at the Wisconsin Humane Society Ozaukee Campus on March 23.

Get your pictures with the Easter bunny from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m March 23 at the Wisconsin Humane Society Ozaukee Campus. Kids, rabbits, cats and dogs are all welcome to come! A minimum $5 donation per picture is requested, and all funds will go back to help shelter animals. In addition, adopters between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. will get a picture of their newly adopted animal with the Easter bunny for FREE! Tellos Wins 'Best Sample' at Humane Society Fundraiser

The Wisconsin Humane Society Ozaukee Campus held its Feasting for Felix event on Thursday, raising more than $10,000 to benefit the shelter animals.

Close to 200 people showed up to the Wisconsin Humane Society Ozaukee Campus Feasting for Felix fundraiser on Thursday night, helping to raise more than $10,000 to benefit the shelter's animals. The event featured food from 20 area restaurants catered toward a vegetarian theme, with awards for best sample, best presentation and best animal decorations. Tellos Grill and Cafe walked away with the best sample award. Patch to Judge 'Feasting for Felix' Event on Thursday

The fundraiser to benefit the Wisconsin Humane Society Ozaukee Campus features food from 21 area restaurants, and a number of judges will be selecting winners among the vegetarian dishes.

The Wisconsin Humane Society Ozaukee Campus reminds area residents it's their last call for advanced-purchase tickets for Thursday night's Feasting for Felix fundraiser — which features vegetarian food rated by five area celebrity judges  Patch Local Editor Lyssa Beyer is among the judges who will attend the event in search of the top vegetarian dish. Other judges include Henry Rosoff and Shawn Patrick of Fox6News, Lisa Curtis from the News Graphic and Dan Small from Outdoor Wisconsin. Meet Persia, this 2.5-month-old domestic short-haired cat up for adoption at the Wisconsin Humane Society - Ozaukee Campus in Saukville. Persia, along with many other cats, are up for adoption now, and the humane society is now offering 50 percent off kitten adoption fees for a limited time.
