Contestants Don't Chicken Out for a Shot at Legend Larry's Second Annual Wing Eating Championship
Fifteen people showed up to see who could eat the most weight in wings, in just 10 minutes.
Sunday’s Packers-Bears NFC Championship game wasn’t the only showdown this past weekend. On Saturday afternoon, The Patio Bar & Grill, 601 N. Wisconsin St., Port Washington, hosted its own rivalry — one in a similiar vein as the Travel Channel’s popular television show "Man v. Food." Cheered on by crowds of family and friends, 15 contestants took their seat at a stretch of tables, each welcomed by an aluminum tray full of Legend Larry’s chicken wings drenched in its award-winning medium sauce. The goal? Eat as a much weight as possible within a 10-minute time span in order to secure a spot at Legend Larry’s Second Annual Wing Eating Championship in February in Sheboygan.
