Hi Charles, I changed my summary from "recommended" to "suggested"; I apologize for making your explanation more formal than it was meant.

The camera and buzzer systems added were simply for the day-to-day routines and not because of voting in the schools, so I'm not sure this would correlate with a buzzer system at the churches; that obviously would be in any local churches hands.

The only place the address still exists is in the newsletter — to which someone would have had to be subscribed before today to received — and because of publication times that cannot be changed. You may have e-mailed last night but I did not see that until this morning. I have also noticed the address remains on other media websites that have not provided updates. I e-mailed the sheriff's office and suggested they send out an updated press release to all media about the issue.
As mentioned, Advocates shared their story; the best that can be done now is to donate to the shelter and help them rebuild. Learn more on their website: http://www.advocates-oz.org/

The city administrator mentioned he is going to be looking into some church locations, but did not want to give out specific church names until he was able to talk to them, probably after the April election, he said.

As soon as Patch learned of what this location was, the address was removed. Advocates shared their story with WISN, and Patch is news partners with WISN so we also shared their coverage.

Hey Tim,
I do agree that the public comment section went quickly without much time to respond; though — had someone stood up or raised they're hand when the mayor said "OK, moving on then," I assure you they would have allowed the comment. I've seen it before. "Oh someone does have a comment. OK."
The public comment session never has a specific topic tied to it, it's always an open forum for any issue to be brought forward, and the council is not allowed to respond at all to the public comment; that is, the session is meant as a one-way street and not a conversation — it's just the nature of the public comment forum.
That being said, it is unfortunate that most residents do not understand that the system is set up this way. I didn't know this either until I started working in a professional capacity and attending such meetings.
