Michael Klecker grew up in a small town in western Wisconsin, where he spent most of his time reading the classics and learning the outdoors. He then went on to attend Minnesota State University, Mankato  and studied the craft of writing. Since graduation, Michael has written the Bar Time column for Milwaukee Magazine, where he studies the uniqueness of local pubs.

Michael enjoys a wide variety of things, most notably great debate and conversation, current events, fly fishing, philosophy, and travel.
