"The score represents success in the state testing system (WKCE), ACT score, Graduation rate, and closing the gap in achievement for special populations (along with a few other factors)," Port High Principal Eric Burke told Patch in an e-mail. "This is the second year that the state has provided each school with a report card. Kudos to our staff, students, school board, parents and community!"
Port Washington High School in particular is now ranked 18th among state public high schools, Burke said. The high school scored 81.4.
Scores for other district schools were:
- Dunwiddie Elementary: 74.4
- Lincoln Elementary: 74.4
- Saukville Elementary: 73.8
- Thomas Jefferson Middle School: 74
