Auditions Next Week for Local Dinner Theater

Memories Ballroom will be holding auditions on Monday and Tuesday for a variety of productions during in its twenty-first season of dinner theater.

Memories Dinner Theater will be holding auditions on Monday, November 5th and Tuesday, November 6th at 6:30pm for numerous productions to be featured in its twenty-first season of dinner theater.

To finish out its 2012-13 season, Memories is looking for actors and actresses for The Cemetery Club, (Fridays – Sundays, February 8 – 17, 2013) as well as First Baptist of Ivy Gap, (Fridays – Sundays, April 19 – 28, 2013).

Directors will also be on the lookout for performers to join the cast of two murder mystery productions, You Ain’t Nothin’ But a Dead Dog, (January 25 and 26, 2013 – evenings) and Railway to Rigor Mortis, (March 22 and 23, 2013 – evenings).

In addition, potential cast members will also be considered for Memories’ third season of the “Let’s Do Lunch” weekday matinee series, which includes:  Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks (June 4 – 19, 2013), Funny, You Don’t Look Like a Grandmother (July 9 – 24, 2013), Talley’s Folly (August 6 – 21, 2013) and The Kitchen Witches (September 24 – October 2, 2013). The “Let’s Do Lunch” performances are on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons throughout the run with one evening performance on the final Tuesday of the run.

Those auditioning will have the option of performing a monologue(s), up to two minutes long, for the directors (this can be from memory or read). This is not a requirement for consideration for any of the available roles.  All individuals auditioning will have the opportunity to showcase their talents as they read from pre-selected sides throughout the audition process.
