Boaters Rescued from Breakwall Crash

Three men sent to Aurora Hospital after Port Washington Police Department, Fire Department and an Ozaukee County rescue boat respond to a collision with the breakwall Wednesday night.

An 18-foot sport fishing boat inbound from Lake Michigan collided with the harbor's outer breakwall Wednesday night, calling into action the Port Washington Police Department, Fire Department and an Ozaukee County rescue boat, according to a press release from the Port Washington Police Department.

The crash took place at approximately 10:15 p.m. Three male occupants of the boat were transported to Aurora Hospital in Grafton; two for injuries related to the crash, and one for exposure, the press release said.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation at this time by the Port Washington Police Department and the Department of Natural Resources.
