Just Chatting in the Park, With a Beer — Oh Yeah, I'm 19

A little happy hour before heading to a movie landed this underage drinker a ticket.

A teenager was cited for underage drinking after being caught with a beer can in a park.

Police were conducting a check at Quade Park when they noticed two people underneath the pavilion, according to police reports. They made contact with the people, who were sitting at a picnic table with two beer cans in front of them.

The police identified the two as a 21-year-old woman and 19-year-old woman, both from Belgium, according to reports. They told officers they were just talking before heading to a movie.

Officers issued preliminary breathe tests to the women, according to the reports. The 19-year-old registered a .35 blood alcohol content, while the 21-year-old register .15 blood alcohol content.

The 19 year-old woman was issued a citation for underage alcohol possession 1st offense.  The 21 year-old woman was warned for providing alcohol to someone under the age of 21.
