UPDATE: Families Displaced After Saukville Fire

The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department responded to a call about the house fire at 5:50 a.m. in the town of Saukville. The fire was at Advocates of Ozaukee, a shelter offering temporary housing, WISN reports.

No injuries were reported after a small fire broke out in the attic of a house in the town of Saukville.

At about 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of smoke in a residence in the town of Saukville, according to a press release from the organization. Several area fire departments responded to the scene.

Officials found a small fire in the attic and were able to contain the blaze, the release said.

The location is a shelter that offers temporary housing for displaced women and children, Patch's news partner WISN 12 reports. The fire has left several people without a home, though the shelter is working to find these individuals a more permanent place to stay in the meantime.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
