Patrons Attempt Theft From Schooner Pub, Police Say

The bar called police after the 26-year-old Port man and 23-year-old Random Lake woman attempted to steal alcohol and wouldn't pay their bar tab.

Theft charges are pending after two Ozaukee County residents tried to rip off Schooner Pub, attempting to steal alcohol and not pay their bar tab.

Port Washington police responded to the bar at 10:10 p.m. July 31, according to police reports, after staff called about the attempted theft by aΒ 26-year-old Port man and 23-year-old Random Lake woman.

Police forwarded a request for charges against both the man and woman for theft to the Ozaukee County District Attorney's office.Β The woman was also found to be violating her bail, and charges for bail jumping were sent to the Ozaukee County District Attorney; she was also cited for resisting arrest.
