Poop Smear in Bathroom Prompts Call to Police

There's something smelly about this one, quite literally.

Port Washington Park and Recreation staff called police at 8:36 a.m. May 20 to report a problem in the bathrooms, according to a police report.

Someone had defecated on the floor of the bathroom, and then proceeded to smear it all over, the report said.

There are no suspects at this time.

More from the reports:

  • More poo: Police received a complaint of a person with a dog on North Beach at 8:33 a.m. May 21. The caller said the dog was off-leash, and that it had pooped and the owner did not pick up the feces. Police found the dog owner, who admitted the dog was off-leash but said she did pick up after that dog. She was given a warning.
  • On your feet, lose a seat: Police received a call from the Port Washington Lighthouse Museum, 311 Johnson St., about a park bench stolen from the location. The bench is valued at $100 and there are no suspects.
