Port Washington Police Report: Loitering and Littering All in One Stop

A roundup of the latest activity from the police blotter.

Police spoke to a 30-year-old Grafton man seen loitering in the 100 block of North Franklin Street at 3:30 a.m. Friday.

The man was uncooperative with the officers, and police noticed that he was intoxicated. He was cited for loitering.

After crumpling up that citation and throwing it to the ground in the Port Washington Police Department parkling lot, police also cited him for prohibited littering.

  • Unable to toot her own horn: Police responded to a report from a 50-year-old Port Washington man at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday that his daughter's trumpet had been stolen from Port Catholic School, St. Peter's Campus, 1800 N. Wisconsin St. The trumpet is valued at $890.
  • Fifth times a charm? Police cited a 47-year-old Port Washington woman in the 400 block of Oakland Avenue for loud and unnecessary noise at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday. Excessively loud music and bass was coming from her condo. This was the fifth complaint for the noise in the past 30 days.
  • To bark, or not to bark? Police warned a 59-year-old North Prairie man at 4:32 p.m. Monday after receiving a complaint about a barking dog outside in the 300 block of Crowns Street. The dog was not barking when officers arrived, but the man brought the dog inside anyway.
