Spray Painting Vandal Hits Port House

Someone spray painted words and crude pictures on a Port Washington resident's property last week, also clipping the homeowners cable line and cutting his football recording short.

A Port Washington resident fell victim to vandalism on his property, including spray painting and damage to his satellite dish, and coincidentally it occurred after breaking up with a woman he'd been dating for "a few days."

The 38-year-old Port Washington man reported damage to his property at 10:28 p.m. Thursday, according to Port Washington police reports. While he was away, someone had spray painted orange on the side of his house, as well as on his satellite dish and some trees and bushes. The vandalism read, "loser," and "ass" and included a "crude drawing."

The man said he had also been recording football that evening, but the recording stopped at 8:12 p.m., likely the same time the vandal cut the cable line connecting to his satellite dish.

While he couldn't believe she would do such a thing, the man told police the only person he could think of was his 36-year-old co-worker, a West Bend woman who he had dated "for a few days, and yesterday decided it wasn't going to work," the report said. He couldn't think of anyone else who would do this, and the timing fit that situation.

Police contacted the woman, and "advised her if she is involved
her actions needed to stop immediately," the report said.

The woman laughed and said "Yeah, OK. Thank you Officer," before hanging up.
