Underage Teen Found Passed Out After Summerfest Trip Cited

The 16-year-old had vomit on his shirt when he was found passed out in the Walmart parking lot.

A 16-year-old Ozaukee County boy was cited for underage drinking and resisting an officer after found passed out with vomit on his shirt in the Walmart parking lot.

Saukville police responded to the store at 11:45 p.m. June 28 after a call came in about a possibly intoxicated person — with vomit on his shirt — passed out in the parking lot.

Upon arrival, police spoke with the person who told officers he had come from Summerfest. The teen had no identification on him, but told officers he was 18-years-old, according to police reports.

The teen was slurring his words, uneasy on his feet and had bloodshot eyes, the reports said. He refused to take a preliminary breath test, and when police told him to stand by the squad car while they ran his information, he took off running towards the nearby Ernie von Schledorn car dealership.

The boy hid in a swampy area near the dealership until police threatened to use a taser on him, at which time he came out, the report said. He was taken to Ozaukee County Jail, and officers used a fast-ID system to identify him as a 16-year-old Cedarburg boy.

He was issued citations for underage drinking and resisting/obstructing an officer.
