Port, Saukville Residents Can Vote for School Board Candidates From Either Place

League of Women Voters of Ozaukee County offers clarification about the Port Washington-Saukville School Board in this letter to the editor.

Editor's note: On Feb. 6, the League of Women Voters for the  School Board candidates. Since then, Dorothy Boyer, Voter Service Chair for League of Women Voters of Ozaukee County, has noticed some confusion about which candidates municipalities can vote for. Residents of Port Washington and Saukville municipalities will elect three candidates to the on April 3rd.

Voters in those municipalities will vote for one candidate for the Saukville seat on the board and two candidates for the two Port Washington seats.

Follow the directions given on the ballot: In effect Saukville residents will vote for their representative on the board and for the two representatives for Port Washington.  Port Washington residents will vote for their two representatives on the board and for one Saukville representative.
